Somatic Yoga

Everything is energy, energy is energised by more energy and fuelled by a force that creates movement in all spheres of life, death and there after.

What is Somatic Yoga?

In Japanese, the word “rei” refers to a higher intelligence that permeates all living and nonliving entities and guides the inherent functioning of the universe.

The word “ki” refers to the metaphysical energy that flows through everything that is alive, including plants, animals, and human beings—because of this, ki is also often called “life force energy,” and is known as qi or chi from other lineages. The combination of these two words is what defines reiki as “spiritually guided life-force energy.”

Alignment in Yoga also refers to energetic alignment. This is what creates the Mystical factor in Yoga.

"The Yoga asanas are aimed, among other things, to affect the transfer of energy and balance spiritually, emotionally, mentally and physically. "

How Does It Work?

In the top of our head we have the positive pole – in yoga and tantra we call this: Shiva. At the end of our tail bone we have the negative pole, called Shakti.
The electric tension between the two polls:  We call Life. Using different kinds of practices, Mystic practitioners want to awaken the dormant energy in the base of their spine.
This is described as a sleeping snake, called Kundalini. This actually is the purpose of Yoga Samadhi, enlightenment or alignment with all that is.
When this happens the feeling of separation disappears and the person feels one with Creation.
This is called Ananada – Absolute Bliss.

How Does It Work?

In our body we have positive and negative electric current flows. When those currents are balanced we enjoy good health. Our bodies, our posture and asana alignment affect our energy flow.
What Are The Benefits In A Nutshell?
Yoga, can benefit anything that harmonizes our mental, physical & emotional well being.
Stretching & strengthening the muscles, hydrating & rotating articulations, increasing coordination, concentration, focus and energy levels among other benefits of a therapeutic nature such as lowers blood pressure, increases stamina and reduces stress levels through its regular inclusion in our daily lives.
Despite its benefits, Yoga isn’t meant as a replacement for regular medical care. Let your doctor know you’re trying it out and be sure to follow any treatment you may have ongoing.
Quick History

Exploring the Mind-Body Connection

In the Yoga tradition we count 7 major chakras, in Kundalini Yogic tradition we count 114 each. In other mystik practices we can count 144. It all depends what path you are on.
The major chakras are intersection points of the 3 major nadis the Ida, Pingala & Sushumna connected to our limbs, nervous system and endocrine glands.
One might say that the chakras are a stage of awareness on the road to that final destination.
Our body is more than just physical and mental, it’s also got an energetic system called the Chakra system and in Sanskrit means wheel or cycle. These are situated along the spine, from the base of your spine to the crown of your head.
Chakras are thought to provide subtle energy that helps our organs, mind, and intellect work at their best level.
There is an infinite field of knowledge pertaining from this wisdom, I invite you to be curious and to follow what your growing and developing intuitive nature leads you to seek.
Many seek a Kundalini awakening but instead have a major fright, because there is alot of ego involvement and not a purity of practice.
I’m not talking about being vegan here, but about how a Kundalini awakening, is simply a clearing of the physical system, in a nutshell, to tap into the highest source of wisdom, pertaining from the highest form of mental clarity, emotional maturity, physical health and spiritual embodiment.
